This lovely family home is one of many Carroll Gardens brownstones originally built at the turn of the 20th century. The private owners requested a renovation that would refresh their rooms and add light throughout the house, giving their space a lift without the inconvenience of a complete gut remodel.  

 

This renovation required our ability to complete work while the clients lived and remained in their home, and our professional team took great care to ensure the safety and neatness of the worksite while maintaining quality standards and efficiency. We replaced the old floors with light wood and tile, refreshed the entire kitchen and modernized appliances, while also updating electrical work, paneling and molding. We also took the opportunity to sculpt the front yard and back patio, reface the brownstone exterior and finish the basement, adding an additional room to the house.

 

You can see in photos that, through this combination of room guts and feature remodels, we were able to lift the previously dark interiors and create a light-filled, airy and welcoming Brooklyn home.
